Slope is a difficult arcade game where speed determines a player's success or failure. From the start, slope immerses you in a terrifying trip as you control a ball rolling endlessly down tight, curving slopes and hanging in mid-air amidst a futuristic city lighted by neon lights. There are no brakes or stopping locations; the ball's speed increases over time, requiring players to react swiftly, correctly, and with extreme focus.

Simple gameplay, yet exceedingly difficult to master

Slope has really simple controls. To change the direction of the ball, players just use the left and right arrow keys. However, the simplicity masks a tremendous level of complexity. As the speed increases, even minor mistakes might lead the ball to go off the track, effectively ending the game.

Unlike many other arcade games, Slope does not have any upgrades, power-ups, or recovery features. All awards are solely dependent on the player's individual ability, reflexes, and situational awareness. This "purely skill-based" aspect is what makes it so appealing, as it constantly encourages players to try again and break their own records.

Unexpectedly random track design

Slope's randomly generated track design is one of its most notable features. Each time you start the game, you will be presented with a completely unique map, never repeating the previous one. This maintains a constant sense of novelty, ensuring that the experience is never boring.

The slopes in Slope are meant to be small, winding, and continually shifting in elevation. Fixed blocks, moving items, unexpected inclines, and extremely tight turns are among the obstacles that players will encounter. Everything is arranged in an unusual manner, challenging players to remain focused and respond swiftly at all times.
